The India Story

The India Story

We have one of the richest heritages in the world; home to over 4000 art forms spread across a land where local culture, architecture, music, language and history change almost every 100 kilometres! This diversity of heritage is beautifully captured and carefully archived through our arts.

In an era when kings and queens ruled over vast domains, their palaces adorned with the most exquisite creations that human hands could conjure. The world looked upon India with awe, for its art was a reflection of the nation's soul.

In the opulent courts of Rajasthan, where sand dunes met the horizon, skilled artisans painted intricate miniatures that depicted epic tales of valour and romance. These paintings, with their delicate brushstrokes and radiant colours, captured the essence of India's culture, stories and architecture.

Travelling southward, the temples of Tamil Nadu soared to the heavens, their walls adorned with sculptures that seemed to come alive in the golden sunlight. Skilled artisans sculpted deities and mythical creatures, etching stories of devotion and cosmic battles into stone.

India's art wasn't confined to its borders; it traversed the oceans, leaving an indelible mark on the world. This legacy continues to influence modern aesthetics, inspiring contemporary designers and artists who draw upon the opulent motifs, rich colour palettes, and intricate craftsmanship.
